Stovetop bring 2 cups water to boil in a small pot. Add 1 cup millet and ½ tablepoon salt. Return to boil, then reduce heat to a simmer, cover and cook until tender, 20 minutes. Drain off any remaining water. Slow cooker place 1 cup millet, 3½ cups water and ½ tablespoon salt into a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or high for 1½ to 2½ hours. Multi cooker place 1 cup millet, 1¾ cups water and ½ tablespon salt in the pot of a multi cooker. Set the valve to sealing. On manual setting and high pressure, set for 10 minutes. Natural release the pressure for 10 minutes, then serve.
